HoMedics Smart Sense Technology
By using an advanced air control system to delicately control the deflation rate of the monitor, Smart Sense technology efficiently analyzes and detects pulse signals while adjusting the cuff pressure accordingly. This advanced system offers highly accurate and comfortable blood pressure and pulse readings, and has received the highest rating available by the prestigious British Hypertension Society. Smart Inflate technology determines both the systolic and diastolic pressure during the inflation time, which results in dramatically shorter measurement time. In addition to blood pressure and pulse measurements, a Risk Category Indicator alerts the user when a reading falls into Prehypertensive, Stage 1 Hypertensive, or Stage 2 Hypertensive risk categories. Best of all, the BPA-100 gives you all of these measurements with one-touch operation: You simply strap the cuff onto your arm, push a button, and Smart Sense does the rest.
When you take your blood pressure, the BPA-100 automatically compares your results with the standards set by the World Health Organization. The monitor also averages the results with your last three readings, giving you an excellent measure of your progress. Each measurement comes with a date and time stamp, and the built-in memory has the capacity for up to 120 readings for up to two individual users.

The BPA-100 is about the size of a bedside alarm clock and comes with its own storage case for easy transportability.
